TravelAid Membership:

Travel is planned. Accidents are not.

Whether you're hopping a train into the city for a business meeting, driving across the country to see your grandchildren, or flying around the world to see the Taj Mahal, careful travel preparation is critical. Itineraries have to be created; airline and hotel reservations must be made, and bags have to be packed with all occasions in mind.

But even the best made plans can’t anticipate every circumstance. The unexpected can and does happen: a jet ski accident on the ocean, a broken leg in a remote mountain range, or a heart attack on a cruise are just a few example of accidents, injuries and illnesses that can destroy even the most exciting trip and cause financial catastrophe.

How can you plan for the unexpected? There is only one good answer—MASA Assist’s TravelAid Membership—that offers you membership, protection, and peace of mind.

TravelAid Benefits:

Emergency Air Transportation (Fixed wing or helicopter)
Should a member suffer a serious illness or injury that requires hospitalization, MASA Assist will fly that person to the medical facility that will provide the most appropriate treatment.
Ground Ambulance
MASA Assist will provide ground ambulance transportation from a hospital to an airport and from an airport to a receiving hospital where emergency air transportation is headed.
Repatriation/Recuperation
If the member is hospitalized away from home, MASA Assist will fly that member to their home city to recuperate in familiar surroundings.
Return Transportation
MASA Assist will fly a member to the commercial airport nearest his/her residence following any inpatient hospitalization away from home.
Escort Transportation
If a member requires emergency air transport, MASA Assist will also fly the member’s spouse or other family member or friend in the air ambulance. The number of others who may be transported is subject to how much space is available.
Non-Injury Transport
If a member is hospitalized away from home for more than 7 days, the member may select a family member to be flown to that treatment place. MASA will provide round trip, common carrier air transportation for the person selected.
Minor Children/Grandchildren Return
MASA Assist will provide one-way, common carrier air transport for any minor child or grandchild left unattended as a result of a member’s emergency. Accompanied by a qualified attendant, the child or children will be flown to the commercial airport nearest their place of residence.
Mortal Remains Return
If a member should not survive the emergency, MASA Assist will fly their remains to the commerical airport nearest their personal residence.
Travel Expense Reimbursement
MASA Assist will provide any accompanying family member with up to $500 in emergency travel reimbursement when a member uses MASA Emergency Air Transportation services.
