History:
1974 - Company formed in the USA as a health maintenance organization (HMO) with a medical air ambulance benefit1985 - Name changed to Medical Air Services Association (MASA)
1990 - Caribbean operations initiated in St. Thomas, USVI
1991 - 8 offices now established internationally
1992 - MASA licensed by the Department of Insurance in the State of Florida
(State office established in Lakeland, Florida)
1998 - Worldwide headquarters established in Southlake, Texas
1999 - 12 offices now established internationally
2004 - MASA adds new benefits at no additional cost
2007 - 13th office is opened in St. Kitts
2008 - Enhanced brand name to MASA Assist and proves to be the leader in the industry with over 500,000+ members
